Over the past decade, the idea of a Capital Markets Union (CMU) within the EU has been the subject of extensive discussions, with various proposals aimed at harmonizing regulations across member states. Despite these efforts, progress has been limited, and significant challenges remain.
You are warmly invited to gain expert insights and participate in the discussion on the future of Europe’s financial markets.
Nicolas Véron, Senior Fellow at Bruegel (Brussels) and the Peterson Institute for International Economics (Washington), will open with an overview of the lessons learned over the past ten years. He will also share his perspective on the future of financial market supervision in the EU, including a recent proposal to strengthen ESMA’s (European Securities and Markets Authority) role in oversight to enhance market efficiency. Véron has been actively engaged in the debate on financial market regulation for several years and has previously been a valued guest in the Finance Panel.

If you cancel after March 28 or do not show up, a fee of 395 SEK excluding VAT will be charged for those who registered to attend on-site (this also applies to those who participate free of charge)
