time and place
Monday 19 May 2025, 10:30–11:30
SNS, Jakobsbergsgatan 18, Stockholm. Registration with coffee from 10:15.
Geopolitical uncertainty and increased trade barriers have placed trade policy high on the political agenda. Tariffs and other trade barriers can create uncertainty in the global economy, disrupt global value chains, and lead to higher prices.
What are the consequences of trade barriers on international trade? Which supply chains and markets are particularly vulnerable? And how should policy makers and business leaders navigate when international trade faces uncertainty?
Welcome to a seminar where international trade and policy recommendations from research are discussed.
The seminar is part of IIES/ SNS International Policy Talks, which is a collaboration between the Institute for International Economic Studies (IIES) at Stockholm University and SNS with the mission to bring insights from leading international economists to the Swedish policy debate.
The seminar will be held in English.
