Breaking Barriers to Growth in Sweden and the EU

Seminar Fri 23 May 2025
time and place

Friday 23 May 2025, 11:00–12:00
SNS, Jakobsbergsgatan 18, Stockholm. Lunch will be served after the seminar.

What financial needs and constraints do Swedish companies face in scaling their innovations and staying competitive in the green and digital transition?

SNS, in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), organizes a seminar to discuss how public and private actors can work together to strengthen Europe’s industrial base and technological leadership.

Emily Sinott, Head of Policy and Strategy Division at EIB, will present key findings from the EIB Investment Survey for Sweden 2024. Thomas Östros, Vice-President of the EIB, will provide insights on future investment priorities and how EIB financing can support innovation and competitiveness across Europe.

Together with Pär-Jörgen Pärson, partner at Northzone, and Anna-Karin Jatko, director general of The Swedish Export Credit Agency, we will discuss public-private synergies in strategic financing for Sweden’s technological future; the EU’s evolving industrial strategy; scale-up financing gaps, skills shortages, as well as clean tech and AI investments as drivers for growth.

The seminar will be held in English.
